Pillar grab handle broke

So recently a friend was getting into my truck, grabbed the passenger side pillar handle and it broke right off.... I pulled the 2 bolts out and put it back up and every time after that made people not use it. I forgot one time and it broke again. They called it a assbuster. Now I can't fix it cause its totally gone, anyone have a similar problem and fixed it a different way instea of buying another one to just break again.

this is a common problem on the 3rd gens. Don't know much of a fix, and if you buy a new one it most likely will break again with someone using it to lift them self up into the truck.

Nerf bars aid in getting in the truck without having to pull on the grab bars

A new one shouldn't break. Check the wreckers. I remember Hammer talked about a re-inforcement mod for those when he was more stocky! Think it was on that other forum where Weed is moding.

Dang. I think I'm just going to buy a new one and put a couple washers donut would be harder for the bolt to pull through. I'll add some on the driver side to prevent it from happening on that side too. Thanks.
