If the reason for not wanting a locking pin is loosing the key, the Bolt locking pin sets itself to the truck's door key.

I have a wack of same keyed Master locks that I use on gates, trailers etc. Only need one key and easy to have it on every set for each vehicle. Also means no matter what vehicle you are in, you can open the lock. I saw the keyed padlock and thought it was a great solution for guys that use very few padlocks, and lock stuff mostly to their vehicles.They make a hitch lock also for locking the trailer coupler, I have them both.
