Here is my Maximum Steel with the OEM Black Edition wheels. It was filthy at the time.

personally ( and not an attack on you ), i think the whole plati dip thing is a dying fad. Mainly bc it looks like crap. just my opinion. I know its a cheap alternative to getting wheel powdercoated or buying differnt color knock offs, but i hate this plasti dip craze.

Since this picture, I have blacked out my gas cover as well, next step is to black out the step boards and remove the 'RAM 1500'.

Also blacked out my front and rear badges too and this is all with Plasti Dip. My wheels have held up great with no problems, just have to lay on really thick coats.

This is the Matte, it looks cool with the Ram Emlen popping through.

Just because you do not like it does not make it a "dying fad." It's amazing what people do with it. Not to mention it is cheap and temporary. I think it's brillant. I'm not going to go paint my whole truck with it but I think it's neat for what it is. I don't see it going away any time soon.

I used it on my exhaust tips as a temporary thing to see how I would like the black tips and it is still on them to this day. I agree its great what people do with it. A friend of mine did his oem 20's with it and its his daily, never had to touch them up in any way.

My rims have been down almost three years and no touch ups. I will eventually do my bumpers and grill

I have all my emblems and grill dipped. I had my rims and step sides dipped also but replaced them after a wreck. I also had my wifes Jeep rims and emblems dipped for a couple years now. It's easy to do and last if you do it right. I dont have any pics though...

I, as well, am interested in doing the badges on my truck. How would I go about doing it?

Tape it off, or take them off clean them up good with dawn soap, dry and spray them. Straight forward

They make a glossing agent for plastidip. In your case I would just pay to have them powder coated

Check YouTube. There are a TON of how to videos. You can even go to PlastiDip's website. The guys have all kinds of videos on their page on different ways to do things. They even do their full cars with the stuff.
