Just got home with two cans of plastidip. (hopefully that's enough). Will be dipping my wheels soon. Sadly can't do them today because its really humid out and i don't want any problems with painting. If i don't get time during the week to do them than ill have them done this weekend! Im excited now.

Also bought some metallic silver paint to paint my driveshaft after i sand it down. I absolutely hate the fact that its all rusty look and its only a year old. So when i do my wheels Im also going to paint my driveshaft

Supposedly if you give it time to set, it'll hold up to power washing.

Yep just give it a couple days before washing. I have been through the car wash many times. Also I am not sure 2 cans will be enough, but you never know, I think I have 3

I used two and a half cans on mine and they could probably used a few more coats each. I waited about a week before I touches them. I went through one of the automatic washes to see if it would hold up and it did

Mine had 3 coats and held up to being directly hit by a power washer on several occasions. But if I was doing it now I'd do at least 5 coats to be on the safe side.

As far as how many coats i spray on it won't affect when Im ready to peel it off right? If not id gladly do five coats lol

With the plasti-dip, the more coats you use, the easier it is to peel off

It's true lol. The thicker it is, the more likely it is to peel off in one piece if you want to remove it

Just make sure you do them thick enough. Down the road if you wish to remove it or respray them, if you haven't sprayed them on thick enough the thinner parts won't peel off and you'll have to wipe them off with goo gone or another similar product.

i did 2 coats on my Jeeps rims and they go through hell and back and havent started peeling at all. they go through mud, sand on the beach, trails, and ive power washed them, scrubbed them with a brush when washing my jeep, etc and they are still holding strong as the day i did it.
