About a year ago, I had a problem with the anti theft on my 06 Dodge Ram 1500. The codes came up .283, 5 125, C 447. I managed to find a way online to get it reset (I don't remember how and didn't write it down), only to have to replace the motor a few months later. About a month ago, the washer fluid warning light started coming on, even though there was fluid in the reservoir. I checked with the mechanic who replaced the motor, because I was worried that there was a wire crossed and it was giving me washer fluid instead of an engine light. He said it was a washer fluid sensor and nothing to worry about. 2 days ago, when I tried to start it, all the lights and chimes came on, but it wouldn't turn over. No sound, nothing. I switched it off and when I tried a second time it started right up. Yesterday afternoon, it did the same. Called the mechanic again, who basically said he can't tell if it's not doing it at the time. This morning, it doesn't start. The codes are the same as with the anti theft, but in a different order. This time, they are 5 125, .283, C 447. Can't find the codes online, the dealership says they don't come up. I am 60 miles from the nearest dealership, and can't really afford to have it towed in and then possibly towed back (one dealership said it might be the PCM, $1,000+/-). Desperate for suggestions. Anyone have any ideas?
