Please recommend new front shocks for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD

I have a broken shock on the front. It's been a minute since I priced shocks and I am shocked (pun intended)!

So many options!

My truck is a standard height with the 4.7 engine (NO LIFT KIT) 4WD

Does FOUR WHEEL DRIVE need a different shock?

I like good handling but I don't want a semi ride. What would you recommend?
