I have been shopping for new sunglasses and ran across something that I have never seen before. Apparently there are a lot of complaints regarding polarized sunglasses (something I am considering) interfering with the ability to clearly see infotainment screens. Apparently it has something to do with the visual wavelength of LCD screens matching up with the visual wavelength that polarized sunglasses are designed to block to prevent glare, etc.
Have any of you run into any issues with polarized sunglasses making it difficult to see or read the Uconnect screens (media, Nav, Apps, etc.)
I have a 2019 Rebel with the 8.4 Uconnect screen.
Any information anyone can share would be very helpful. I think I have narrowed down my select on the sunglasses and both models are polarized – but I don’t want to purchase something that is going to make it hard to read my screens.
