So I’m in the market for a truck and I’ve always liked ram trucks. I’ve never owned one. I found one locally that I really like. It’s a 2013 1500 longhorn Laramie. 100k on the nose. Drove it and I love it. In great shape. Amazing interior. It has a 5.7. Got to reading a little and found out about the hemi tick. So I asked to see it again and it has a noticeable tick when cold started that quiets quickly when it warms but never completely goes away. You can hear it outside and inside the cab. But as soon as it gets over about 1500 rpm it’s gone. He was told it was an exhaust leak but that it could be a slight internal tick as well. Any tell tale signs I should look for or does it sound like it’s a ticking time bomb no pun intended.

Odds are it's a manifold leak. I would take it somewhere for a used car inspection to know for sure. There's no reason to buy a used vehicle that has a problem. Lots of trucks out there.
