Driver's door power lock is sluggish on my 09 Ram. I removed the door panel and disconnected each of the visible connectors one at a time in order to isolate. Had no effect. Do I have to remove the black panel as well?

no you don't to gain access the wiring. there is a black rubber cover on the left side of the door about mid way down. to remove the lock actuator you will have to remove the inner door pannel. not to bad to do but be careful disconnecting the door glass. just take your time. the door lock actuators on the drivers and passenger front door are known to do that and normally the actuator is the issue.
