My 2017 Ram Laramie Longhorn driver-side door interior paneling is coming apart at the interior arm-rest/handle - pictures attached. I've had the dealer look at it and they quoted my $2500-$3000 to fix because they'd have to order a whole new door panel. Looks to me like you could pop those white pop-rivets out and place new ones (probably need to do it from the inside of the panel. Has anyone done this before? How difficult is it to do? That price is outrageous, you're plan might work, but you could also pick one up from a salvage yard for a couple hundred or even new probably for a third the price. Very easy to replace yourself (probably 30 minutes for a first timer).

They didn't blame you for having a too heavy left arm?
