The question is when installing power folding mirrors do you have to change your door module? On 2017 Ram SLT .

I found out that if the truck doesn’t come with power folding mirrors you have to change the door modules.

It’s got a Hemi in it
Just a heads up. Just got finished installing those sweet Boost power folding mirrors on the ‘17. Wouldn’t you know…the door modules are the same part as the pair of power fold modules I nabbed off EBay a while back.

That being said, the window sticker did have “chrome power folding multi function mirrors” listed, but the “Trailer Tow Mirror and Brake Group” turned those into “Power Black Trailer Tow Mirrors w/Manual Fold Away”. Cheaper for the assembly line to leave the modules in, either way, I reckon.

I have read cases where some did not have to swap modules. There’s a clue why. Check your window sticker.

Every time ive ever changed mirrors from non power fold to power fold, have to change modules.

11, 14, 16 24. Every single time.

Course, I also order non power fold and then change them to color matched power fold.

I like color matched better than black
