love my van but suddenly the steering "grinds" on my 98 B1500. checked fluids, fine, pump is turning, not hard to steer.
Suddenly steering went out completely. No power at all, manual only. replaced pump and fluid. Still nothing. Gear box?
Reved up engine a bit, BAM.. now it works.. spit out some nasty fluid into the resivour gonna change the fluid again later just to be sure everything is new
