I thought AEV used a Cummins in their prototype Maybe it was a different diesel i read in an article. Hell the new V-8 diesel the Titan will get would be nice too. I am sure they (AEV) would have to use stiffer springs, but thats ok.
By the way, what is the weight difference between the Cummings and the Hemi?

They used a Cummins but it was not a Powerwagon
Hemi are ~500 lbs from what I've found and 6.7 ~1200lbs

I'm sure it's possible if Ram really wanted to make it optional, to upgrade to a Cummins engine, anything is possible now days. They probably wouldn't sell to many because of the hefty price tag, just for the Cummins upgrade your talking somewhere along close to 8,000 or so give or take just for the engine. Toyota Tundra will be offering a V-8 Cummins for the 2016 model trucks, supposedly offering 30'miles to the gallon.

With enough money anything is possible. You could get it to work but doubtful you could ever get all of the electronics to work correctly.

I heard the same thing, the engine was developed while Dodge and Nisian were planning to share a full size truck chassis, but the 09 bankruptcy sunk those plans. Like you mentioned at the time Dodge was not happy with the 5.0 Cummins fuel economy, Nissian made the move to keep the engine. Both Nissian and the Toyota Tundra will be powered by the 5.0 V-8 Cummins. Curious to see how the Cummins will work for Nissian and the Toyota Tundra in the half ton truck line up. Ford will be coming out with their half ton diesel trucks for 2018. I'm sure it will be sooner so they can compete with the other half ton diesel trucks already on the market.

Can this engine be supercharged? Ala Hellcat? 707 hp would be nice. The Challenger Hellcat uses a 6.2 Supercharged Hemi; not sure if this engine would work in the PW or not.

Someone does make a kit for these trucks but at $10000 I'm OK with the power output.

700hp would be badass though, and probably have enough torque to come close to the diesel.

^^True. And be alot lighter than the diesel engine too. Now the question should be, can the stock transmission withstand the additional hp and torque.
