So I like the powerwagon front bumper but Im pretty sure that it will not fit on my 1500 or will it? If not is there a bumper already out there that I can buy or would I need to build my own.

I don't think the powerwagons bumper is any different the a stock 2500 which won't fit on your truck

^^ right but a know a few guys that have made their own mounting brackets to get the HD bumpers mounted on 1500s they also had to make or get filler panels to fill in the area under the head lights. Im not sure if the grill is required to be changed out or not....

So is the 2500 body just wider then the 1500 or are the brackets in different places

Or you could trade yours in and get a 2500/3500 ;)

The trucks, dimension wise are the same. The issue is the frames are entirely different.
It would not be a bolt on affair. You'd also need those little fill panels under the headlights.

I really like the flat top of the 2500 bumpers m'self.

Ofcourse I would like to have the hooks and winch. I would also keep it crome.

It would never work, without a lot of custom brackets being made and then I would never use the winch or tow hooks. The bumper is possible with some new brackets, but the tow hooks and winch would never work because the 2500 frame is different. For looks, yes it could be done. For usability, no way.

The guy with the orange truck is a local guy I know here in Houston. He had a body shop fab the bumper on.

It's a good thought that I looked into myself a while back, but unfortunately it just won't bolt right on.

Never say never when it comes to custom fab work. I've seen some pretty amazing things. As far as the orange truck, that doesn't look like a powerwagon bumper. The middle opening looks too small for the winch and tow hooks. Especially when you compare it to the powerwagon pic above.

Right, it's just a regular 2500 bumper but he had that center opening filled in some so it is smaller than normal. His body shop guy is so good you can't ever tell but I've seen pics of it before, during, after. It's amazing how factory it looks.
