Just trying to see what everyone else has paid on their lifts. I got a 2013 Ram 1500 I am currently looking at a 6" rough country or a 6" dbs. Wanting to see what yall paid and what kind of set up yall have. And this may be a dumb question but i imagine an older 2012 or 2011 lift would not fit?

I paid roughly $800 for my 7.5" lift, but I'm 2wd ;)

In your case I would go with the RCX 6", cheapest and by far the most popular 6" 4x4 lift for our trucks

Aside from BDS having a lifetime warranty, why are their lifts priced higher than RCX lifts? What makes the BDS better than RCX?

Sometimes I wish i had a 2wd just for lower costing parts and an older truck for more available parts. But i've been looking into the RCX 6" at $1,335 I can't justify paying that need a discount or something haha. And i've never heard one bad thing about a BDS kit which i have heard a few problems with the RCX that they say is fixed now, and the Coil Over kit that BDS make are amazingly strong. The lifetime warranty definitely helps allow you to run it hard as you want and if somethings breaks order another.

How is everyone feeling about their leveling kits and their body lifts?

BDS would be a good option if you plan to off-road your truck really hard. But I havent seen any issues with the RCX lately. I know they did have problems in 2009-2010

But I had my leveling kit and body on for a day before i installed my 4.5" suspension (Still have the 3" body)

Body lift is the way to go if you dont want to change your suspension geometry (or change it anymore than it is) and need additional height. I have yet to see anything negative about a body lift (if installed right).

For the price bilsteins(or leveling kit) and 3" body is the way to go to hurry up and get the truck lifted for cheap! That way you can always add on with a full 6" suspension later on when you save up.

Yeah this may be the route i go. My local shop referred me to the 3.75in Dodge Combo Lift Kit. Found at this link: 3.75in Combo Lift Kit for 09-12 Dodge 4wd 1500 Ram [352] | Rough Country Suspension Systems

any ideas about that. i was to run 35's but i dont know if that'll be enough to do it.

Do you plan to add any additional height or bigger than 35' tires down the road?

Not anytime soon. I really would just like to get the truck high enough to put 35's on and not make them looked cramped. I think the route you suggested would sit my truck a little bit higher than the RC lift combo would.

you can fit 35's with just a 2.5 level and depending on width the right offset wheel, so the lift you posted is plenty for what you want

I just installed a HBS 2.5" level and a PA 3" body lift this past week. I did all the work myself in my driveway. I LOVE the more agressive look of my truck and can't wait to get my tax return so I can mount up the 35s.

Looks sweet man. Just need some bigger rubber and it'll be a badass truck. I'd highly recommend the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC Radials. Love the look and aggressiveness.

Yeah that truck looks really nice the way its sitting now. Does it take any air tools or just hamd tools? And what did you pay for your setup. I might be indtalling next wedmesday thursday, if it can be done with hand tools.

Hello everyone im new to the site and just saw this post and it fit perfectly to my situation! Im getting some 35's next week and dont really like the cramped look of them on just a level so im doing the 3'' body lift as well, and I dont really have the supplies or space to do it myself, so i was just wondering about how much it would be altogether including installation. Id also like to know what brand it is that I should get. I obviously dont want to break the bank so any savings would be great! I live in south Florida around Ft. Lauderdale so any places that you have experience with would help as well. My names Matt, and thank you in advance for any help!

I got the PA body lift and HBS leveling kit off of Amazon. Somewhere around $225 and $80.

Do search online for the manufacturers website and download the instructions. Read them and then read them a second time. Make sure you are comfortable performing the required steps. No special tools are required, but a well equipped garage is key.

Yeah tha'ts the thing my garage is uninhabitable and I feel much more comfortable if a place professionally did it. Then if somethings wrong i can blame them :p I would however do it if i had someone with me who knows how to do it, but i am definitely willing to pay for it thats no problem for me.
