Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my VP2_8.4 DT SXM 68428539AC radio (without navigation) in my RAM 1500 5.7 2020 BH. The radio restarts every 3-4 minutes, which also affects the rearview camera functionality during reversing. The dealer mode display differs from what I've seen in online photos (see attached photos). Additionally, it's currently impossible to pair any phones via Bluetooth, and the SXM service is unsubscribed.

I've attempted the usual troubleshooting steps, including resetting the radio and removing the fuses, yet the problem persists.

Here are my specific questions:

1. Can a software update fix these issues, even if the Uconnect site indicates everything is up to date?
2. What are the compatible replacement radio part numbers for a plug & play solution?
3. If purchasing a new unit is necessary, would a newer model be recommended?
4. In case the replacement unit comes without a PIN, is there a way to unlock it, possibly via eBay? Would I need the vehicle's VIN, or are the details on the radio's sticker sufficient?
5. If the replacement unit has a faulty LCD but my current unit's screen works, can I use my existing screen even if the part numbers differ?

I do not require SXM, navigation, or a compass feature. However, I would appreciate the addition of a front camera and WiFi capability.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help and insights.

Update:

1.^^
2. according to this page: www the replacement numbers are 68428539AA, 68428539AB, 68428539AC, 68428539AD, 68428539AE, but according to this page: www 68428539AA; 68428539AB; 68292209AG; 68292209AH; 68292209AB; 68292209AD; 68292209AE; 68292209AA; 68292209AC; 68292209AF; 68428539AD
3.you can upgrade the system to a large screen version, but you will need additional cabling, or choose something from the supersession list, where the further the letter of the alphabet, the newer the device
4.^^
5.if the screen change occurs within the replacement list of the same number, then it will match, I have not checked other numbers

Finally I bought a new radio 68428539AB + screen replacement + purchase of anti-theft code + coding of additional functions + change of localization to Europe and language to Polish
