Problems AFTER U61 Crusie RECALL Update

Who has had their check engine light come on shortly AFTER the U61 Recall flash - Cruise Recall Update
I took my truck in for a problem with the WIN module not reading the key fob. Dealer says they updated my truck for the U61 cruise control recall. Now getting constant CE light. Read everywhere on all FCA forums, that the reflash is a problem, and FCA dosent have a fix yet for it. Anybody have any new information about this FCA issue...?

Had my truck flashed on Friday. So far no issues but I haven’t driven it much after the update.

I had my 17 flashed for the cruise control and auto park a month or so ago, no issues, works as advertised.

I had mine flashed for the U61 a couple month ago , no problem so far.

We’ve done tons of these recalls and I haven’t seen one experience a CEL due to the software update. If you know the code, we can go from there.

MY CEL was on when I took delivery of my truck after the recall flash. I went back to my service advisor and he had my truck in and out in a flash, (pun intended). Appaenty, all they did was clear the code. It hasn't come back on since.

Whoever did the flash likely forgot to clear the codes after it was done. Software updates cause a laundry list of codes to be set that need to be cleared after it’s completed.

Yes sir. That's precisely what they said happened. I probably would have tried clearing it with the Diablo if I didn't notice it. Thanks for the input.

Flash update worked great here, no CE codes.

I had mine done on the 12th and so far no codes.
They couldn't do the recall for the tailgate for lack of parts and didn't know when they would get them.

I had the recall done about a month ago. The climate controls don’t work the same any more. I have an SLT with the manual climate control. Now when I adjust the temperature with the buttons on the center stack the temperature display on the Uconnect doesn’t change unless I push the button almost ten times then it jumps about one third scale from where it was. In addition, when the temperature is set on cold or close to it I get what I can best describe as whistling noise from the air moving through the system. The noise goes away as I set the temperature higher.

None of that would be caused by the U61 update. The U61 update is a software update for the PCM only and has nothing to do with the HVAC system.

Likely just a coincidence.

I wonder why it happened then? Could the dealer have done some other updates and not told me about them? I have had the Uconnect update as well but I think the HVAC was acting up before that.

2014 Ram 1500 ,I had the update not too long ago,and today the check engine light came on and anti traction warning light. Problems are related to the 4 new updates they did. Dealer service said Cruise won't work because of the 2nd light. Now truck won't up shift properly and can't drive over 30mph because of high RPMs. Throwing codes. Now an engine noise that sounds like a ticking lifter. 57,000 miles.Scheduled 7am shop appointment tomorrow.
This truck went from park to drive on its own with 2 other witness' that it was in park . It did not do it immediately. Also it intermittently shuts engine and dash off while driving at speeds of approx 65mph. I feel it is becoming unsafe.
