Programmer?

Hey guys I Been looking for a programmer for my truck 96 5.9 but everyone I find starts at 97 and up! Anyone have any ideas on who makes one or if not a few ideas I could do to pep up the 360 and get a little more HP and miles at the pump?

I don't really not much about your year truck but I don't think the reason you are seeing them for 97 and up is that when the started OBDII
I'm not sure if your truck has it

ObdII started in 95-96 model years being mandatory by 1996. I've seen this problem before I had a Superchips for sale and a guy wanted it for his 96. Had obd2 but wouldn't tune it. Never figured out why

You might check with B&G performance. They do good work and understand how to program those trucks.

Early OBD-II or late OBD-I PCM's kinda bled over into each other. It was because they still had parts left over from prior years as they began to update the product line.

I think you have to get a chip instead of a programmer
