I recently became the proud owner of a low mileage 2014 Ram 1500. The seller only had one Ignition Node Module (IGNM). This is the type of "key" that is inserted in the ignition switch to operate the truck in addition to being able to remotely lock/unlock the doors. I saw replacement key fobs on eBay but I am wondering if I can program these myself rather than take them to a dealer for programming. A couple of listings featured the key fobs with a plug-in programmer that plugs into the OBD-II port, but can I program these myself like I was able to program the keys in my Dakota? If I need one of those programmers, which would anyone here recommend?
