I'll be using this thread to document the process of my truck build.
The truck? 2012 Ram 1500 Sport. The plans? Basic stuff at first. Intake, exhaust, wheels, eventually mid pipes, headers, etc. Within the next few months I may consider getting a suspension kit from Kore, along with their front bumper. Undecided on their fenders as I've read that they do not have shielding on the inside of them. For now though, it remains stock with 80km's on the clock. Pics!

Thanks for the kind words! I haven't been driving it much since i'm waiting for my truck to go in for the diamond shielding and full 3m. The roads here in the winter are a vehicles worst nightmare.

My gf said the same thing when she got in lol, turned the heated seat on and went straight to programming the stero.


Got the front end wrapped in 3m, Diamond Fusion on the windshield and broke 1000km. Started to make a parts list as well.

Fuel boost rims 17x9 with 0 offset

I'm looking at the kore stage 1 kit, however I read that due to some changes on the 2012 the kit wont fit. Going to give them a call and confirm.

Once it warms up though I'd like to tint the lights and plastidip the badges. Just recovering after the holiday season right now lol!

but before you do the 9" wide rims, I'd give it some thought. Another forum member regretted it, (especially if you're wanting to do the wider fenders) and I know that I love the look of the wider rim/tire combo. Do what you want to it and make it yours though, just throwin my 2 cents your way.

My fabtech suspension kit wasn't supposed to fit on my 2012 but they made it work some how. Not sure if its the same issue though...

My brother has a wide stance on his durmax and I love the look of it, but if you know why the member on hear didn't like it I'm all ears!

That is what I read, but he also mentioned they were looking for a test truck and would have a kit available in 2013. Hopefully by the time I'm ready to start spending they have a kit but ill call them and find out.

His username is FastnUgly and I believe it was that he preferred the deeper lip look and the wider stance looks more aggressive

Ah fair enough, more like your truck then? Those wheels look good with the 6 inch lift! A lot of the wheel choice though is to do with the Kore kit since it calls for 17x8 wheels with 4.5" of back spacing to clear everything.
