I've got a 34' ultra-lite weight camper....weights in around 7800 lbs loaded out. I'll pull it 65 mph pretty much anywhere with no issues.

Cool looking camper. I don't pull a camper but I do tow a 24' car hauler, about 8000 lbs loaded. The Power Wagon tows it easily.

I pulled 12,500 with mine around the farm and down rural roads. I’m putting air bags on this afternoon after I take my son shooting. Going with the same one Olyelr put on his. I wouldnt think twice about 8,000 lb camper. Power train doesn’t have to work hard with anything in its tow rating.

How do you end up with basically no sag? You have bags?

Yes I have airlift bags and daystar cradles.

But, before I leveled the truck I didnt need bags at all for our travel trailer. The weight distribution hitch kept it level very nicely. I will see if I can drum up a pic from back in the day.

Just road tested my Air Lift Loader Lifter 5000 Ultimate. Road like a regular 2500 so I’m glad I can deflate them when not needed.

Power Wagons typically have a tow rating around 10,000 lbs. as compared to a regular Ram 2500 Hemi being around 14,000 lbs. tow rating. That difference is why people talk about a Power Wagon not being as good as a tow rig as other vehicles. However, keep in mind that 10,000 lbs. is a decent size trailer and it wasn't too long ago where most "3/4 ton" gas trucks were in that range for factory tow ratings. My last truck was an '03 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0L gas, 4.10 gears, and all of the heavy duty and towing options and it had a factory towing rating of under 10,000 lbs. And in the end it's basically just "lighter" springs and the D-rated tires on the Power Wagon that cause this (correct me if I'm wrong, but every other aspect of the powertrain is the same...).

You are correct in pretty much everything except the tow rating - from what I've gathered, most Power Wagons are rated at 9k or less.

Spot on. My 2018 PW is rated for 10,347.51 lbs tow and 1387.5 lbs payload. It’s the same power train as the regular 2500.

Yea, my loaded ‘16 laramie (ramboxes too) has a payload rating of 1135 pounds...less than my half ton ram.
Also, the towing rating is only 8510 pounds.
