Thank you. Is the Remflex is a better gasket than the felpro? One of the reasons I was looking at the Felpro was that heat shield, though I don't know if it's really doing anything.

Also read in other posts people recommending arp bolts, so I'll get those added to my cart.

Yes.
That heat shield is NOT worth the headache it creates when trying to install them.
Trust me I speak from painful experience the headers are a PITA to install and those heat shields make it 1000x worse.
You will be cursing your maker if you use the felpros.

If you can hunt one of this style swivel sockets up and a decently long 3/8" drive extension, the job will be a bit nicer, still not great, just better, lol. If the ARP bolts are 10mm,then you'd need the same socket in 10mm.This style swivel socket will get at a few of the harder to reach bolts. You only need 20 ft-lb of torque on a header,so don't go hog wild on reefing them down, especially if you go with the Remflex gaskets, and whatever you do,"do not" bend them.I swear by the Remflex gaskets, but they will not take being bent.

Thanks Wild One. My next door neighboor is a mechanic, I'll see if he has that ujoint socket. I have 3 or 4 different length 3/8" extensions. i think my longest one is 24" down to like 2" or something. Thank you sir for that helpful info.

Well that's just great. I do not want to go through that. maybe I should look at another brand then
What's your budget? Do they do emissions inspections/testing where you live?

Stainless Works or Kooks LT's is what I suggest. Buy once cry once...

I didn't have a set budget, but I didn't want to spend so much money either. But if I had to put a number, maybe $1K. I live in Houston, Tx so yes do emission test, but i don't believe it's as strict as like California. With LT, would I have to take to a muffler shop to put the y-pipe farther back? I was hoping to get something that bolted right up without cutting into exhaust.

Yeah you're pretty limited then. JBA has pretty good customer service, if you do have a problem they'll make it right. It'll be a massive PITA though...
