I have a 2014 quad cab and the time has come to upgrade my audio. I have a head unit, speakers, and an amp that can do about 550RMS into the subwoofer. My only issue is a subwoofer, and where to put it. I have kids so I'm thinking under the rear seat would be best, and this box I found on Amazon here is rated ok.

But I figured before I pull the trigger on anything I should see what others here have done. I also wanted to know if the rear seat storage is removable for extra space? Currently All I keep under there are a bunch of straps, bungies, etc... and it is handy but I wouldn't mind deleting it if I can get a bigger/better sub in there.

So in that rear seat sub enclosure I was thinking of putting a Kicker 48CWRT124. Right now there are some sales on the Kicker 46TL7T102 which I thought I could just move around as needed so no permanent spot for it. Now I'm guessing this L7 hits harder and sounds better, but maybe I'm wrong. Really not sure where to go here. Any advice appreciated.

Never heard of them before, thanks for the recommendation. Its a bit pricey, but looks like its worth it.

I went with a pair of Audiomobile EVO 2410's in sealed boxes under my rear seats (a separate box for each side, so if I need some additional space I can remove one) and stuffed the boxes with polyfil, too.

These are incredible subs that handle power and are clear and detailed in their sound.

I'm pushing a total of 2100W in my system.

I also installed a db 5-farad digital capacitor and upsized my battery to an Odyssey H8 AGM and installed several more pure copper thick gauge grounds throughout the truck as well.

If it's a single 12" sub you're looking for, then look at their EVO2412 sub.
Toss it in a sealed box filled with polyfill, break it in properly, and you'll have some hard hitting bass.

They aren't inexpensive subs, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality, stable power handling capabilities, volume output, and clean & detailed sound. "Buy Once & Cry Once!" ;)

I got my underseat box from here. Definitely not the cheapest, but excellent quality and they know what they're doing. Net Audio

I did a single ported 10” fox box with a 10” sundown sub powered by a kicker key 500.1 amp. It hits hard af.

I put two 8" sundown subs and they sound amazing, everyone swears I have 12's. 1 is all I really need to provide good solid bass. But I had room for 2 so went that route.
