So I did post this on my thread about my first mod, but I decided to make a new thread to hopefully reach more people. I was reading reviews about the pulsar and what it does, and was most interested in the future custom tuning capability that was heavily advertised when it was released. The more research I did, the less mentioning of this feature I found. It's been out now for a year and has since added gear ratio and tire size customization to its capabilities but no one had a bead on when the custom tuning support would be released so I contacted edge support about this and they stated that at this time NO custom tuning capabilities are planned to be released for the pulsar. Now for those of you that purchased this unit or were planning on purchasing it solely for what it had this is no big deal, but I planned on using custom tunes and hoped this would achieve that. I probably will still purchase this unit to use until I have made this most of my warranty and then switch to a custom tune but I felt this was information I should spread because many purchased this unit anticipating the future support of custom tunes. my point of contact for this was Rich McKenzie. for anyone that wants to do their own due diligence about this, feel free to email [email protected] and let's see the responses. Maybe if they see how much people want this feature they will pursue it again. I've heard great things about this unit as it stands but I feel it's important that people are kept up to date on the development of a product like this that may have been purchased with the anticipation of future capabilities

Don't blame them, it's a huge investment to get into that market.

HPtuners/Diablo already own it and have fantastic reputations with solid software, not sure why the persistence is necessary here. Pony up with the big boys or continue to putz around with a canned tune.

diablo is the maker of the pulsar, edge is one of their companies. I emailed diablosport for the information using the link to contact them on the pulsars website and the guy that replied has diablo and edge in his signature if you look. there would be no problem with software for them to make this capabilities I suspect it's more because of the limitations of a piggyback module giving them more trouble than they thought originally.

Didn’t know they were partners, but even the entry level diablo units do not support custom tuning probably due to storage. Previous edge users would still need a new device to allow full capability/firmware should they change their minds.
