I have the same JBAs on my truck. I'm tuned but I immediately noticed the motor reved a little quicker. But what I did when I got home from having them installed was reloaded my tune and that's when I really noticed a difference.

Since you're not tuned I would try a battery disconnect for 30 mins. That will reset the adaptives in the PCM and force it to relearn then with your headers.

Shorties will pull hard all the way to 6100 with the stock cam, you’re leaving that huge window open along with upshifting and landing back in the peak torque curve.

I pulled the trigger on the Diablo and Hemifever tune this morning...ordered from Moe's. Should be here no later than Wednesday, I only live about 90 minutes from Matt. I can't wait lol
That’s cool. You going to enjoy that setup for sure.

Yes sir. Told myself after this, I am not doing anything else until factory warranty is up and it is paid off, but I highly doubt that lol. Thank you for your replies and insight!

You may want to get the Pedal Commander, I’ve had my a few weeks. It’s a little pricey but it’s fun. For me I gotten use to the Sport Plus +2 setting. What can I say I like the feeling, it’s pulls hard. So what I’m only getting about 14mpg. Next up for me is going to be a throttle body for sure. It don’t stop ones you go down that road.

After you install that custom tune the difference will be amazing. Let us know what your impressions are--

Even with just Shorty's? I also have Moe's ported throttle body, Vararam intake, 180 tstat, AGS delete, oil catch can, and Carven Progressive muffler. I'm shopping tuners online now at Moe's....is there a difference between Diablo T2 and i3 other than display? Going to add a Hemifever tune as well.
How do ya like the Vararam?

I've had both the S&B and Vararam, the Vararam Air Grabber is better. Before it wasn't really recommended for snowy or really dusty areas but now Outerwears makes a pre filter for it which repels water/snow.

This is great info. I’m looking at headers for my 2016 Ram which seems to have broken manifold bolts. Right now I have a stock intake, Mufflex, Pedal Commander and 35s so adding some torque couldn’t hurt.

Though I’ve also used the RC quick cal to adjust the speedometer and shift points and I average 18-19 mpg on my 70 mile round trip commute every day. But it’s cruising backroads at 50mph so that helps.

I’ve got some saving up to do but this is great info!
