I see alot of people on here getting bigger tires. I never hear any talk about gears though. I assume a high percentage of trucks bough off the lot have the 3.55 gears in them including mine with the factory 33's

My question is I want to put 35's but some say it adversly effects performance and not to do it without a gear swap.

my question is whata u guys think

i want
nitto trail grapplers
295/60/20 34.4

or 295/65/20 35.5ish

a, i safer going with the 60,s???

I got the 295/65R20 Nitro trails and I only have 3.55 gears and I don't notice much of a power loss. I even tow a 5000lb camper and it still pulls like a champ.

I've got 3.55's and 35x12.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers. I lost a bit of giddy up off of the line but I drive easy so not a big deal to me.

I think it's all preference. I'm running 35x1250 with 3.92s and I felt a substantial loss. It goes, but seems to work a lot harder to do so compared to a stock wheel/tire combo. I want to throw a 37 in there, but I'm almost positive I'd end up swapping gears if I did.

How are the Nitto Trail grappler's holding up? I'm looking at them myself and I'm wondering how many km they will last for. I do a lot of highway driving.

Get the Toyo Open Country AT II in the 295/65/20.
No rubbing with a 2.1" level & a great ride

I have 35x12.5x17 MTs on the rear of my 2wd RC when I go offroad. I hauled several thousand pounds last week camping for a total of 500 miles and power was still amazing chugging up from the desert up to 9000 feet. Go with 35s!!!

Thinking of 295/60/20 trail grapplers. I here they will rub but what if i just dont turn to full lock.

Also what about a 275/65.
Whats the advanatage of a wider tire

Below is my truck with Toyo At2 295/65r20 and a 2" spacer. My rims are +1mm and I have no rub. The Trail Grapplers are slightly wider than the Toyos, if you are running stock rims you will more than likely rub at full lock with the 65's.

Same, but the Toyo OC MT's Added a BD tuner, magnaflow, and vararam. to help with the heavier tire. I now run with minimal power loss and it helped a tad on the gas.
