Hey guys just looking for a few opinions here.

My truck is the 2011 Ram Express with standard 20 inch wheels lowered on a McG 2/4. A friend of mine has a set of the 3rd Gen 20's that I would powder coat black with 285/55/20 tires.

My question is would the 3rd gen wheels look out of place on my 4th gen ram?

Thanks all.

My truck

The wheel with the color I want but no red ring.

Yeah I would not throw the 3rd gen wheels on the truck if I were you. That is just my thoughts.

I think that the current rims on your truck would look really good powder coated. but maybe someone here can chop those 3rd gen wheels onto your truck to give you a better vibe of how it would look.

The current wheels are pretty flat faced and I would like to have something a little more aggressive. I'm trying to avoid the extra weight of 22's but if I can't figure it out I will go with the SRT10 22's.

I'm going against the grain here. I think they would look pretty good.

I like the looks now...question, if you could, would you mind measuring from the ground to the door sill on bottom. As we all know, these things are pretty tall...i am considering lowering my 2011 Express to make it easier on the wife to get in. ( yea right, but thats' my selling point! LOL)

and two, how do you like that lowering kit, hows the ride now?

thanks, looks great lowered.

I think they would look FAR better than the factory Express wheels m'self.
(So much so, that I've perused CL a time a two)

Aren't the Gen 3 wheels a 20x9 as well? (as opposed to the express 20x8)

Ground to sill is 15 3/4 inches

Ride is great, just as good as stock in a straight line and better in a curve.

Yes they are 20X9, but I believe all the other measurements BS,OS seem to be the same.

I ran them on my truck. I'm getting new 20s for next year only because I want wider tires that won't fit well on these rims with the stock back spacing

If it is a friend of yours, ask if you can put them on your truck and see how they look in person

I think those 3rd gen wheels are the best looking wheel dodge made for the rams.

I think it would look good. With a 20x9 wheel you will have less clearance on the inside, but you should still fit 285's no problem
