So guy I work with gave me a set of 37x13.5x20 toyo open country MTs for free. Tires are at about 70-80%. Yea I know.....HELL OF A DEAL! Anyways I got a 2013 1500 4x4 with a 3" body lift on it. Can I fit these tires on stock rims without them rubbing and is there anything else I need to do, besides recalibrate the Speedometer? I'm talking do I need to throw on a level kit(I do plan on putting in my bilsteins soon) or throw on bigger brakes? What do I need to do?

With Bilsteins all the way you up might fit them. But you'd have to run spacers

I think I want to work where you work!

37's I think need 6" and proper offset but do not quote me on that, hopefully someone will chime in here.

So if I went to -24 offset wheels I should be good?

Edit: I work for ups and the guy I just trained down sized his tires and gave them to me for "payment" for training him lol I'm not gonna complain for getting $2000 tires for free

You need to do a 6" lift or a bunch of cutting. I had a '13 1500, 9.5" lift with 38x13.5s on -12 wheels and it rubbed the front bumper valence and the fender liner at the back. My 2500 has an 8" lift with 9" -12 wheels, 37x13.5s and it rubbed, keeping that in mind a 2500 is 2-3" taller then a 1500 with the amount of lift being equal ie 6" on both trucks. If you ran -24 wheels you'd rub the bumper and fender badly I'd bet

I had a 6" lift with bilsteins at 2.8 and i still rubbed on aftermarket wheels, youll need alot more then a body lift to clear 37s haha

Ugh I think I'll see if I can't trade them for 35s. I know a ****** move to do for free tires but I can't afford $5000 just to put on new tires.

$5000? An RCX lift is like $1400, $1000 for install, and $200 for spacers

1000$ for install? thats ****

you could always DIY and be 1600 in the hole for 6inch lift and 1.5" hub centric spacers rather than paying that ungodly amount for install

Try coming to work up North where shop rates are $200/hr or more. Best to quote higher than lower though.

Every vehicle I've owned has been lifted, so after a while, I hust learned how to do it myself. So much less money spent, and so much more gratitude when you're done

Lol $5000 is the lift, regear, bigger brakes, and new wheels. He got rid of the tires cuz he didn't care for they way they rode(idk don't ask lol) and I live smack dab in the middle of North Dakota, and we have a huge oil boom so yea shop prices are like $250 an hour. Idk I'm still toying the idea....I'm dumb when it comes to truck lifts and stuff. And I'm ungodly dumb at mechanical stuff lol "Damnit Jim; I'm a doctor not a grease monkey". Beings how I got the 3" body lift wouldn't a 4" work or is it better to just go with 6"?

I don't know if this is any consolation but the BDS website says that their 2013-2014 Ram 1500 4WD 6" kit will clear a 37" x 13.50" on a 9" wide wheel with either a 5" backspacing or even a 4.5" backspacing which is pretty low. Now based off of that and the fact that you already have a 3" body lift couldn't you run say a 2.5" leveling kit along with your 3" body lift for a total of 5.5" of lift and basically only be 1/2" shorter than the BDS 6" kit and more than likely clear your 37" tall tires? Especially since you won't be changing out your knuckles like the BDS kit does you could probably get like a 9" wide wheel with say a 5.5" backspacing keeping them more tucked in and have a much better chance of clearing those tires... I would think anyways? Maybe I am way off here but it seems like it would be the same. UNLESS BDS's 6" kit really measures out to be taller than 6" like a lot of companies kits out there well then no it won't work. Just food for thought...
