questions about express

just curious, when looking up parts on most websites, why do they say nothing fits express models? i noticed it when ordering my blackout covers and now killing time at work looking at billet it all says will not fit express?

that's what i thought, it just doesn't make sense to me why it says everything wont fit. my blackouts fit just fine, even though the website said they wouldn't.

The front plastic bumper causes problems for things that go up there

really? what kind of problems are we talking about? rubbing issues, clearance ect...

Same bumper as the sport so really like bull bars and maybe some funky grille inserts might not fit that should be about it. Oh and they have colum shifters unless you get the 8 speed.

yeah i was trying to find the post for the vin number sheet to check on some things, i have a column shifter but sport wheels? its a 2012 1500 quad cab, just not sure if its a sport or express. i know the newer sports have that gnarly hood on them, but did they have that hood in 2012?

sounds like you have an express. the hood started in '11 or '12. plus ive never seen a sport with a column shifter.

also has the color matched rear bumper with the dual exhaust. i figured it was an express when i bought it but just wanted to make sure

your dash is most likey black and tan also? no overhead console? no upper glove box? cloth interior?

I was told that the ones with the "gnarly hood" is a "southern" express package. That's what my build sheet claims any way. I believe it also includes the 20" chrome clad wheels.

I have a 12 express and ordered headlights and grille for a sport and it all fit perfect

headlights, grills and hoods are interchangeable regardless of what model ram you have if its a 1500.

MikeG thats a sweet storm trooper look you got going with that pickup. Yeah OP looks like you have an express. The chrome wheels can forsure be added from factory as buddy has a red reg cab with them and ordered it that way.

If you're getting something electrical, I believe you gotta go with the st, cause I've been told the express and st have the same wiring harness.
