so as yall know ive been doing a lot of work on my truck well while researching converters I seen a guy putting fluid in his converter. well when doing my cam I had to take that cover off between the tranny and oil pan to drop it a little. well it stayed dropped till I was pretty much done and when I finally got under there to put it back on there was some kind of oil or something but up enough that oil from the oil pan couldn't have gotten there so I figured it was just the rear main seal(even though I don't lose any oil) and that I would replace it when I put a torque converter in.
so the question is could it have been my torque converter leaking? I have noticed for a while now that when I get up in the morning and go to leave that it goes straight into gear but doesn't want to move till I give it more gas. kinda like trying to take off in a standard with the clutch pressed almost all the way in and slowly(really slowly) letting off the clutch. I understand what torque converters do but don't know if they have seals that go bad or what.
next question 2800 or 2600 stall? I live in wv(all mountains) and don't want to be whining it out more than I already do trying to get up hills but I also want it to take off like a bat out of hell. I don't tow much but I am the only one in my family with a truck so yall know how that goes.
next good brands of torque converters and would I need a tranny cooler or anything else besides
