I have a 2010 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 with 2" level kit. I have the factory chrome 20x9 wheels with stock Goodyear tires. I am thinking of buying a set of black oem wheels off a 2014 Express. I believe these wheels are 20x8. I think the backspacing is the same (correct me if I am wrong). Are these wheels going to sit father in or out? Just wondering if the 1" width difference makes any difference. Thanks.

Your 20x9's have a 15mm offset.

The 2014 wheels are a 20x8 with a 19mm offset.

Here's offset explained in a pic:

So with a 4mm increase in positive offset, the face of the wheel is closer to the outside edge of the rim. There is more wheel behind the centerline of the hub by 4mm. So they won't stick out any more than your current wheels and of course they are 1" narrower. So they will look a bit more tucked in.

Thanks for the info. above. My chrome wheels are stamped 20x9 19.05mm. At least that is what's stamped on the inside of the wheel. I think the 20x8 black oem wheels are the same 19.05mm offset as you said above. Does the 1" wheel width make any difference except putting on wider tires? I guessing the rim will be positioned in the same spot of the wheelwell. Hope this makes sense. I don't want to buy them if they will sit farther in the wheelwell.

With the same offset the wheel will be a bit narrower so you'll need a tire that fits an 8" wide wheel vs. a 9" but if you pick the right size tire it will fit both. Depends on what size tire you have on your OEM wheels now.

As far as fitment the wheel will pretty much sit just where yours do now but be tucked in a bit due to the width difference.

All 20x9" wheels have a 19mm offset

with a 8" wide the wheel is going to sit 13mm inward and 13mm farther away from the suspension.

20x8 and 20x9 use the same tire size. 275/60

Good to know. I figured they did but wasn't sure what size the OP was running on his larger wheels. The largest size that fits a 20x9 isn't recommended for a 20x8 and if he was gonna swap 'em he'd need to check into that.
