Newb here, first post.

I have a 07 Ram Hemi 1500. Having an issue with both A/C and engine Temp. When sitting still both are hot. A/C blows warm and engine starts to move up in temp. Once I start moving again, A/C is cold and temp goes back to normal. Thoughts..???

Thanks in advance :cheers::cheers:

Condensor fan isn't running. Check to see if the smaller fan up front is running.

So as I am new to the Hemi's….I do have a smaller fan to the front right as I am looking into the engine bay. That fan does not come on at all that I know of.

Bingo! No heat transfer unless moving. Need to see if the fan is actually getting power or if the fan motor just took a ****. Mine did about 2yrs ago.

The condensor fan would be the cause of the a.c. not blowing cold. But wouldn't the fan clutch be the cause of the engine temp rising? Surely the condensor fan wouldnt cause engine temp to rise.

One problem at a time lol....solve the more immediate obvious problem, then reassess

So would the condenser fan fix both issues? The AC? Need a possible fan clutch? Thermostat? :cheers::cheers:

The radiator fan should move with a little resistance when not running. It should feel like it's moving through oil when turned by hand. The design is so it turns with the engine at low speeds and freewheel at highway speeds when the air will flow through the radiator naturally, avoiding parasitic losses. if the fan turns with no resistance, the clutch is bad.

Also if you just want to be sure becuase the clutch is a little harder and more expensive. Thermostats are easy to change and you can get them anywhere from 3 to 20 dollars.
