Can someone tell me what gear ratio I have?? I have a 2004 2500 5.7L. I don't have any tags on my diff and I know there is ways to do it with math, but does anyone already know? Thanks

Nope. You can request a build sheet through Chrysler customer care which will tell what was installed from factory. That is just the factory option. If you are not the original owner then you would try the alternative options since a previous owner may of done a regear. Slim chance thougn considering the price involved for your 2500 platform.

^+1 for buildsheet.

Should also be able to look in your glove box for an info tag.

In theory there about be a small-ish tag with various info on it.
If it's gone that wouldn't surprise me. You can request a buildsheet from the dealership though.

Yeah, I don't see one. No big deal, I will be stopping by the dodge dealership anyways next week and will request a build sheet. Thanks for the help!

The way to do it with math is you jack the rear axle off the ground (both tires) and you mark your drive shaft with a marker then you turn your tires one full rotation and you count how many times the drive shaft turns on a stock truck it'll probably be around 3 but with a heavy duty it could be 4. Ok that number is the first number example 3.73 or 4.10 that is the only absolute number in doing it this way because to determine the next 2 numbers is only an approximate based upon where the mark you put on your driveshaft stopped compared to where it was when you marked it. Lol I think I'm making this too confusing so I'll give an example. You jack the axle up and mark the shaft at the 12 o'clock position you turn the tires 1 full rotation and count the driveshaft making 3 rotations and stopping just shy of the 12 o'clock you could estimate that you have 3.73 gears. Like I said this is by no means an absolute way of doing things a more accurate way would be getting a build sheet but there's still a chance they were swapped. I hope this helps any questions just hmu
