1. If you have volume controls on your steering wheel --you can adjust your volume--if not --no adjust
2. If you have a shark fin, not the black puck, you will have Uconnect --if not--no uconnect
3. Your heat, cool, fan will work with the knobs --no need of the "up grade harness--unless you want to pay near 300 buck just to have "on screen" climate controls.
3. That money is better spent on steering wheel radio volume controls --184 bucks.
4. The infotainment has multiple options, at a stiff price, the install is easier and a video gives full directions. The difference, without the upgrade harness, is : 600 for RA4, 130 for 8.4 Bezel, 184 for steering wheel vol controls-- ----930 (abt) DYI---1666 infotainment.
The 911 fix costs 25 bucks. That brings the DIY up to 955 vs 1666, 600 buck savings-- You will have no Uconnect but you won't be annoyed by the on screen message saying you have no connection. --
The install is simple and again---infotainment has a great video--you don't really need the "upgrade harness" you do need the 50 ohm resistor in the 911 connector. \
The biggest deal--if you don't have on steering wheel radio volume controls--is the steering wheel install of that kit---great write up by member and others here are great help.
Anyone that wants the "UPGRADE HARNESS" , cheap, PM me.
