I have a 2015 1500 with about 4900 miles. I was at a stop sign the other night and a truck pulled up and started burning out so i turned my traction off and as i pulled off burning rubber the truck just slowed all the way down as if i pressed the brake or as if it turned off on me but it didnt because a couple of seconds later it jumped up to 7000rpm as i was letting off the pedal. And then last night i started my truck and had the radio playing for maybe 5mins then the radio just turned off. The screen went black. So i restarted the truck and it was as if nothing happed. So my questions are whether or not i messed anything up. What should i check? Has this happened to anyone else? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

by you saying your radio went black i assume you have a 8.4 screen? make sure it has the latest software. its a common problem for them to freeze or go black for a few minutes.

also you didnt accidentally hit the screen black out button on the dash did you?

you can do that. or others can pipe in there is has been a link posts on here that will show you the latest and then you can see what our radio has.

usually take 30min-1hour at a dealer to do the update.

Thanks for your help. Now does anyone know if the truck slowed down to protect the engine? Is that normal?
