Could be slipping transmission or not in tune engine when you increase gas and it doesn't burn it efficiently. Hard to say, do you feel it in gearing or engine tune? Hard to duplicate as just hitting the gas wont create the same load, but if you do several parked rpm wot's and if all is in tune, maybe it is in transmission.

What's the sound I should be looking for with parked WOT when I bought the truck I did a carfax on it and there were some components replaced I will attach the file

Mind you this is just an opinion, it looks like it was overheating severely to the point where it warped a head/head gasket, or at least made then replace it. They were still chasing it after a water pump and radiator check and head gasket as a month later they replaced thermostat. What have the coolant temps been like? Sometimes an engine will never be as strong after they over heat. So just my guess this is what you are dealing with, and doesn't mean that engine wont last for a long time, I just would watch temps and run codes. maybe visit the shop and ask for more detail if they will give it.

Being in MN this could happen when you tow and get engine real warm and then turn off in cold season, sometimes it just happens. It isnt terribly rare with trucks, if this is the only issue and there are no codes, I would just work with it and ignore it. Looks like there was a tune up as well, I'm not sure what more you can do if no codes show up. Maybe clean up combustion chamber with sea foam through vac lines and clean throttle body. you run 91 octane gas?

Come to think of it, it looks like the dude had a water pump seal give out and didn't notice as he was driving until he scorched it, and then he needed a head gasket. Probably ran out of coolant or went real low on it, maybe kept driving through a CEL. Which is better or could be better then warping a head from towing hot and cold shut down, just depends really. It makes sense anyhow with those repairs.

Do you think I should be running 91? Always ran 87 so just curious why you recommend 91

Yeah, the 5.7 hemi is tuned for 89, so 87 is no good, if you run 91 that thing will run like a r@ped ape compared to 87. Doesnt hurt to try once.

My gas station only has 87 and 91, it is like a different engine on 91, no joke.
