Hello I just recently bought my first ram and was wanting to make it look better.

I love the idea of a suspension lift but i simply dont have enough cash for that. so I was thinking of a 3 inch body lift. here are a few questions I have

1. will i need a leveling kit in the front still to make it ride even?
2. is there a special lift kit for a quad cab long bed?
3.I have seen mixed reviews on 35 inch tires. can i fit 35x12.5 tires?
4. if I can fit those tires, what size rim would you recomend? and also the backspacing/offset? I am wanting the tires to stick out about 2 inches.

My truck is a 2002 ram 1500 quad cab longbed
I am new to the forums and looked and looked to try to find these answers but i seemed to find different answers on each thread.
Thanks for any help!

you can fit 35's with 3" body lift. the kit is about $350. wheels and tires new is about $2200. figuring in 20in rims.

I bought 305/55r20 nitto terra grapplers for me and got 5 with 1/2 tread for $285.

if you cant install you body lift i would prob figure $500 for a shop to do it.

rim offset if you should have -12mm. big truck tires are 12.50" wide and factory 20's had tires 10.80inches wide

if you run into an issure you can get .25" place spacer that will slip on to the wheel studs and still give you nuff threads for lug nuts.

.25" is 12mm.

I kinda thinkg 3" body lift is high. i had one on a 97 ram 1500 with a 6inch life and every few thousand miles i retightened the bolts.

I put 1inch on my 04 hemi. i made the kit myself. for $120

To make the truck sit level you will need a leveling kit if you like how the truck sits now with some rake then you do not need a leveling kit.

2. is there a special lift kit for a quad cab long bed?

I am unsure of this check with one of our vendors either moe's or bullys performance and they will have the answers.

Yes you should be able to.

4. if I can fit those tires, what size rim would you recomend? and also the backspacing/offset? I am wanting the tires to stick out about 2 inches.

I would either go 17's or 20's depending on if you like more tire or more rim and probably -24 offset to meet your desires.
