Well to the original question:

It looks like the QC is only available with the 6’4” bed, while the CC is available with the 5’7” or the 6’4” bed.

That said, per the chart posted above, the QC overall length with the 6’4” bed is 228.9” - making it the shortest option for any non standard cab Ram 1500 — 4” shorter compared to the CC with the 5’7” bed at 232.9” overall

Yep, looked at one this morning, but have found them mostly at major dealers with lots of stock.

I checked the Ram site showing all the models/"build your own", etc., and no, the QC is not available with the 5'7" box.

Popped in to say the same thing (I'm still here wishing my QC had an 8' box option...)

Are you 100% sure it was a quad cab and not a crew cab, and that it also had the 5’7” box and not the 6’4”? I’ve never seen one and also can’t find any indication that the 4th gen has ever been available with the quad cab/5’ 7” bed combo.

Chevy has made them. Think Ford has too. But Ram has never made a QC/Extended Cab whatever with a short stubby bed.

Ford's crew cab has always been a 138" wb truck with a 5'5" bed. Later they offered the 6'4" bed with a 151" wb. they did make a extended cab with a 5' box and a 132" wb, now only offered in the Raptor.

Like said, overall length of the truck is going to be about the same unless you get a regular cab shorty, or get an older mega cab monster.

More importantly.. If you do haul passengers in the back seat with any frequency or length of time, by all means get the crew cab. Quad cabs are really only good for kids and occasional short trips for adults. The 5-6" of bed space you loose with the CC is negligible.

I disagree Bass the back seat on a quad cab is not that bad. My 17 year old son just about 6 feet tall NY 13 year old daughter is 5 6 I never complain about the space.

I'm 6ft tall and I've sent back there to check it out for short trip while the wife drove didn't find it to be terrible.
it's better compared to the back seat room you would get in most midsize SUVs or crossovers.

Crew cab will cost you chunk of change more I just bought my truck a few months ago new and didn't feel it was needed I mean after all I'm not going to receive passenger and neither is my wife so if the backseat passenger doesn't like it they can find another ride
(Yes that includes my kids lol.)

I guess everyone is different proportion wise. I'm 6ft and can't sit back there unless the front seats are rolled forward a bit. The seat pan area is very short and the 90deg seating angle is pretty awful. My 4 kids range in age from 8 to 17, so I hear you there. Don't like it? Too bad! LOL. For the most part it's just me in the truck going to/from work, so it's a non-issue.

That’s what the OP was talking about right? Quad cab? Extended cab?

Yeah. I don’t think either make them anymore except maybe the raptor. Needs are different but takes some adjusting looks wise.

Yep the Ford offered the extended cab at 132", 138" and 163" wheelbases. the differences were the box length. The second gen ram was an extended cab with the 6' box and 138" wb and was redesigned to be a 4 door starting with 3rd gen. Ram didn't have a 5' box until they built the crew cab 138" wb with the 4th gen.
