Hey guys got the hertz tweets in today and tell you what the highs just became so much more natural sounding over the metal super tweets that I had in there. It was a direct swap without changing anything else and I'm pretty impressed. Now that I have something in the dash that plays down into the vocal range the stage is permanently stuck above the dash.
Word of caution if you guys plan on swapping equipment out in stock locations make sure you keep the stock screws. Well here are some pics. uploadfromtaptalk1409344821526.jpguploadfromtaptalk1409344828805.jpguploadfromtaptalk1409344834749.jpguploadfromtaptalk1409344840998.jpg

I was kind of sceptical about putting mine there but now that I think about it thats all that the factory 3.5 inch speakers play.

Looks good. My dyn md102 tweets sounded really nice in that location and the stealth was obviously nice too. Reflections are going to happen, but they still sounded really nice. Mucho stage height! Nice width, awesome depth as well.
Your truck looks like a blast to drive! Love the color too :)

Love my truck and actually at the track today :). Yeah the reflections where very evident after having a more accurate tweet so had to drop the highs by a few dB's.

I would look at running a dome midrange in the dash location to give you a better off-axis response. Put a tweeters in the sails or the pillars. Band Pass the midranges.

Love the hertz tweets music sounds much more natural and my stage pushed out to the door mirrors. These little guys seem to like power also and take almost no attenuation. My buddy is a professional painter so should come out really nice ;).

It would be fun for sure, but my fabrication skills are nowhere near some of the guys on here. I'm still learning how to handle fiber glass and resin everything else my buddies can teach me since they are body guys.

Glassing can def be a PITA. I still learn something every time I do it. Like everything else, the better the prep leading up to the actual glassing, the easier it will be on the other end. (Sanding, smoothing, painting etc). My first few attempts were prob the messiest project I've ever done. Lol resin everywhere, in my hair on my arms, everything was sticking to everything. Was a disaster. Prep prep prep

Haha, you don't. Take it as a battle scar and move on. If I ever get all the saw dust off my garage floor I'll show you all the crap stuck to it. I just got a shed that I can put all my lawn equipment and bikes in so I can clear up some work space and clutter

I need one of those but the company that owns the housing on our base is redoing fences so I have to wait to put a shed up.

You should try the resin that I used when I did my tweeter pods. Cures within minutes after the sun hits it.
