Alright gents how are these 3.55s doing when it comes to turning your 35s? Is your truck a dog? Did it take alot of engine modding to make your truck drive normal with your 3.55s? I know you said it won't be fast but I'm trying to figure out if I should go RCX leveling kit with 34s or do the 6 inch lift kit with 35s. I'm willing to allow my gas mileage to decrease but I don't want to drop down to 6 Mpgs. So anyone who has had 34s, or 35s with 3.55 gears let me know how your experiences have been.

You'll need to do gears with 34 or 35's. So you might as well do the 6" with 35"s. Not sure how engine mod's will effect it yet I'm just starting mine. I have 3.55 and as soon as I can I'm going to 4.56. Plan on 3" bodylift and 37's when it's time for new tires

I don't even like 3.55 with stock tires. Really a no brainer with 35's man, Just keep it at 65 max on freeway, gas mileage wont be too bad. Just my 2 pennies on that. Are you even sure you have 3.55's, I thought they are 3.92's? Could be wrong?

Yeah I guess your right mine are 355's too, just looked it up. I will change mine someday, but it is kind of low on my list of mods. I would rather get off the line and have early power then top end speed. I guess it is just preference. I would say if you choose to switch go 4.11 or better or don't even bother.

Ya I called dodge and had my vin run wish I had 3.90s but they confirmed I have 3.55s. Now I'm more then willing to buy 4.56s if I can find a friendly shop to install them most shops here charge $1000+ to do gears and I'm not that tech savvy.

A grand is not that bad, the best place around here is 1200 and more are even at 1600 plus last time I checked on my Bronco. With a level kit and 34's you wont hardly notice the change if you get a all terrain tire instead of a off road tire, your 3.55 will be just fine with that setup.

I have tuner, LT headers, CAI, Y pipe, flowmaster duals on the way. Will let you know how it changes the feel of the truck. I still think gears are gonna be a definite no brainer

with a '12 youll spend alot more then 1000 bucks haha talk to fastnugly about his fun experience... im pretty sure he had 2 find 2 new axles for earlier model rams due to the carrier of our '12s being impossible to just open up and throw gears in

I just installed a 3" body lift, Bilsteins @ 2.1", and 20x10 wheels with 35 trail grapplers. There is definitely a difference, but I wouldn't say it's a dog at all. Off the line is a bit more sluggish, but once your moving its about the same. It down shifts a little more on the highway when there are inclines, and I hardly ever see that ECO light come on anymore unless I'm coasting. MPGs dropped about 2.1 on paper. Overall it's not near as bad as in other lifted trucks I've had.

I do regret not looking for a 13 with 392s. At the time I had no interest in lifting or 35s. Got the exact truck I wanted then.

How hard is a 355 to 392 swap? Would it be worth it on the 6 speed lifted w 35s?

It's not a dog by any means. k&n cai, diablo 87 tune, dodm80 muffler delete, 3.55s on 35x12.50x20 with stock rims which is considerably heavier than an aftermarket.

I'm getting high 13's low 14's if I pay attention and high 12's for mpg is I've got somewhere to be.
Gearing can be done but require machine work on the rear and a front axle swap to pre 11.

There are no drop in kits. I definitely say do the 35's or you'll regret you didn't. I've even regretting no 37's but maybe by the end of the year now.

11" of lift w/ 37's I average 10.6 mpg city/highway mainly bc it takes a lot to get up and go

Thanks guys all the input is helpful. A friend keeps saying its going to put to much stress on the drivetrain and tranny so it's not worth it. How much does this really apply?

25k miles on my lift with 35s and 3.55 drives just fine mix of highway/city and I see about 15 mpg, if I get caught in rush hour traffic it drops down to 13.5. I'm pretty light footed but truck def still has enough grunt to turn the 35s.

I almost hated what I did to my truck. I slapped on a 6" and 37's and man.....I regretted it for a bit. But that's because I still had high expectations
Did my gears exactly 2 weeks later and swapped to 4.56.
35's maybe a different story.
