If this is in the wrong spot or has previously been posted I apologize. I did search but could not find my exact problem but I suck at searching so If it exists I again apologize.
I have a 2010 Dodge Ram that I believe is actually Canadian if that matters. My rear parking sensors have not worked for quite a while and I finally decided to fix it. With the bad sensor in the truck says clean parking sensors even though they are clean and never comes out of "off" with the light above the on / off switch light up signifying off. After replacing the one bad sensor I get a different problem. It works perfectly when in reverse but after I put it in drive and move forward 50 feet or so the "clean parking sensors" warning comes back up. As soon as I go back into reverse it works again as it should. I thought maybe the system needed a reboot so I did pull the negative for 20 mins and reattach it no help.
It should be noted that I did not buy the OEM sensor from Dodge for $120 or whatever and that may end up being the recommendation. So I figured that maybe the sensors off amazon were the issue and I order a different $20 sensor off Rock Auto. Same exact situation. Please advise if you have any ideas or if I need to buy the OEM sensor. $120 for a sensor is crazy. Thanks
