I was at a local u-pull scrapyard today to get some connectors and a tailgate. As I was checking around to see what tailgates they had, I noticed that all the 2005 quad cabs had a back seat that is split 60/40 which have a fold down platform when you lift up the rear seat. My truck has a full bench at the back that just flips up with no platform hidden underneath. That split rear seat really appealed to me. Sadly, due to really heavy rain coming in, not being sure if they would fit, and the best one of the bunch having the seat bottoms not come up I decided to wait until another day.

My questions:

1) Will it fit? Is the bolt pattern the same? I would imagine in light of how assembly lines work they would be, but I figured I would ask.

2) As I said, some of them, the seat bottom would come up part way, but then it seemed to be blocked and not come up all the way. I would prefer the seats out of the trucks where they don't come up all the way currently as they don't smell like smoke and had a few small holes that looked about the diameter of a cigarette. The others were cleaner, less holes, and didn't smell like an ashtray. However, if I can't get them to function properly they will not only be impossible to remove, but will be useless to me. What am I missing about getting them to lift up? What could be stopping it?

That should be it for questions.

3rd Generation cab bodies 1500s should have the same widths
1500s came in years 2002 - 2008
2500s & bigger came in years 2003 - 2009
notice the bigger trucks run 1 year behind

I would guess that at the assembly line, they would drill all of the Holes the same, even for different options.. like split & full bench seats

sorry, i have not looked at a 3rd Gen truck interior
