Hi guys. I’m considering the idea of a 2019 Rebel, Crew Cab, Short Bed. It’s got 13k miles and is listed at $43.5k. I currently have a 2014 GMC Sierra; Crew Cab, STD Bed, 6.2 with 2.5 inch leveling kit and a bed cap.

Im wondering what kind of real world payload numbers these trucks have. I’m also wondering how they do towing in the neighborhood of 5k lbs.

I’m also wondering if I would miss the real sized truck bed. I would be putting a cap on it for the dogs.

I have '19 laramie ccsb 4x4 5.7 hemi 3.92 off road pkg. sport pkg. leather and nav.. I paid about 1ooo$ less new. so maybe the asking price has a little wiggle room. the longer bed is nice but you still cant haul any 8' stuff and shut the gate. as for towing 5000#, my 28' travel trailer is nearly 6000# when we tow and the truck pulls it very well. does a good job getting it up to speed and the brakes are great. the cargo capacity on these trucks is lower than the '17 gmc sierra with the same equipment that I traded in. mine is 1324# so I pack light when towing. 220# for me +115# for the wife +260# for fuel + 600# for trailer wt. on hitch does not leave me much for gear. several of my friends have ram trucks and all say the meager cargo capacity is the only thing they dont like about theirs. it will pull your trailer fine just watch your wt.
