rebuild , with a discovery . hemi

so my heads are done and cleaned , block is bare and washed the crap out of it. however where the roller lifter sits inside the block. i noticed gunk on either side. so the lifter wouldnt get oil basically . good thing i caught this. its just super hard to reach and was wondering should i just take it in and have it cleaned ? machine shop i use here in oregon is kind letting me down lately .

this engine suffered all 8 rod bearings to fry, and engine was full of junk. it was a jiffy lube kimd of truck. and i feel there ****** oil shows. but at 160k it still ran .

ok figured it out. turns out theres 2 hex plugs on either end of the blocks once removed you have clear access to the lifter housing area , i had more junk in those ports then the entire engine.
