Recall question

Once a recall has been issued, are they usually corrected at the factory on new builds? I'm sure they can't be corrected immediately but ...

I'm not sure if they do it at the factory, but at the very least, after receiving them at the dealership, the dealership will apply the recall.

By law, a dealership cannot sell a vehicle that has a recall until it has been completed on the vehicle. That is why when recalls come out, sometimes it takes a while to get parts for our recalls as the dealerships are using them on their in-stock vehicles so they can sell them.

They won't be building anything and shipping to dealerships with a known recall. They'd be held at the plant for repair if the updated part isn't installed on the line.
