Recall escalation. if indeed possible in my case

Hello!

We have a 2015 EcoDiesel .
we keep getting the EGR Cooler recall notice but when we call the dealer they tell us our truck isn't under the
recall.

My question is, since it doesn't seem do be vin specific, just by year, I want it preformed!
I called Ram customer care and hit a roadblock. any other know number I could use to escalate?

Your '15 EcoDiesel should be under the recall. I had mine done a few years ago, at the time it took the dealership a few weeks to get the part in. I'm guessing that there is only one Ram dealership close to you and another dealership is a good distance away?

I think you’re right on the two dealerships.
I was a tech with Ford dealerships for decades and. The recalls were vin specific. A blanket recall tells me it covers all, vin specific covered just a certain run of vehicles.
We just don’t want to be stuck with an expensive repair that should-could be covered.

I'm almost 100% positive that the EGR recall covered all the EcoDiesels from 2014-19. It hit during COVID and the backlog for parts were extensive.

I would call another dealership or 2 just to see what they say.....even if you don't take it for service there....if they say yes....I would go in person to confront the other and ask why they are denying the recall.
