So I had some recalls piling up and finally decided to take it to the dealer and get them fixed. The tailgate, the occupant restraint control module, the brake transmission shift interlock and emissions (v50).
Maybe I'm crazy but the truck just doesn't seem the same. The throttle response is slow. I feel like it bogs down when I get on the pedal and has a weird feel when it shifts. Like the point at which it shifts has changed.
Any idea why? I know nothing about the recalls. Would any of them affect those things? Not the tailgate one obviously

You should have them re-flash your PCM.
I never had those recalls done. It could just be how the truck would feel now.
Have them re-flash it just in case.

Not the tailgate, obviously, and not the occupant restraint recall (ORC module update). The brake transmission shift interlock recall was a BCM update to shorten the amount of time you can leave your foot on the brake pedal before the interlock resets so it doesn’t burn out, so it’s not that one. Which leaves the v50 recall. That one was a PCM update, so your transmission CVI values reset. Just need some time relearning doing as much city driving where you can repeatedly shift through all the gears.

Thanks for all of the info everyone! Maybe I'll give a week or so and see if it works itself out and then if not I'll head back to the dealer and have them reflash the PCM.
