if all goes well, I plan to fully detail the outside on sunday. If that happens, I sure will share the results. It's rough since the non-touchless wash did a number on the paint. Never again. I was hopeful it wouldn't be as bad as it turned out to be.

I let the paint get really rough. Spend the day trying to fix my issues. I'm not done, but for now, here it is.

The end result is always a "reflection" of the effort put in the preparation. Sometimes the prep just takes a little longer. LOL Looks really good.

Just rinsed off the dust from Saturday to today
Finally got a good reflection pic, but I think with some more polishing later I can get a nicer finish

does using an IPA wipe destroy the layer of polish you just applied? I'm 1 step away from using Cquartz. All i have is left to put on is the black light gloss enhancer, then the ceramic coat after that.

tinted visor and driver/passenger front windows.
washed though all it has needed since ceramic coating is a rinse and wipe. stuff is amazing.

shadow... you are polishing before ceramic?
is that part of the instructions for that brand of ceramic?

mine had me claybar and dawn dish detergent to remove any wax/polish before applying.

well, I had to do all the polishing to get it shiny. Now I'd done with prep but I an wondering if the IPA will take off that last coat of polish.

edit: Looks like it should be fine. Normally when you remove things from paint, it degrades the finish, like when you use dawn to remove wax.

Polish is removed when wiping it off after a buffing cycle. However, the residual oils from the polish can stay on the paint for a week or more, so these need to be removed from the paint prior to any coating application to insure proper adhesion and longevity.

ok- so I'm just about done putting the CQuartz on the truck. I still have 1/2 a bottle left, but I thought I read on here on member had none left when he was done. I got the 50ml bottle. So what's the verdict? I know I have coverage over the entire but did I go too thin?
