Have a 2016 Bighorn, last night I swapped out my reflector headlights to the TYC projectors using the harnesses from retroshop. When the truck is running, there is a very slight flicker to both of the amber LED strips. When the truck is off and the lights are on, there is no flickering on the LEDs. The harness is the updated version. Any suggestions? Bad harnesses?

I have the retrofit conversion harness with factory projectors and they are flawless, sorry that isn’t much help but maybe send retrofit a message, they have good support.

I don't have those headlights but the angel eye type ones from Ebay. The angel eyes on my headlights have flickered since I installed those a few years ago. I can only see it slightly flicker when parked dead against a white wall and not from outside. Sorry, not a solution but just my own observation. Like yours it only does this when truck engine is running . The angel eyes are tapped into my parking lights that would have been the amber sidelights from my original quad headlights.

From Jeremy at retroshop:

[It has resistors........and its not a resistor that would fix that.

The fun part, we used to have a capacitor on these, which fixed the flickering, but some trucks it would simply shut off the entire parking light circuit. Can't have that.....so to keep from having to have a battery fed driver...its left the way they are. Some TYCs on some trucks do this.....but there is no way around that.]

Wonder if it will be worth returning the headlights for another TYC swap, or if it is the truck being unable to run the lights.
