Ok, guys, I have reviewed all the threads regarding a remote mount oil filter. The truck is a 2019 1500 CLASSIC, so it's basically a 2018, 5.7L.

Can anyone tell me if there's a remote filter kit that simply replaces the oil filter with an adapter, that does NOT require pulling out the threaded pipe the filter screws on, in the block? Other kits I've used on other vehicles simply replace the filter with no other mods - that's what I'm looking for.

Can anyone suggest a kit that does that?

Thanks a ton.

Trans dapt or derale make nice kits that I don't think you have to remove the nipple For.

Thanks. I did just order the Trasdapt 1127 kit - I THINK it's going to do what I want. If it works, I'll let the thread know... it's the same kit used in a thread that's 6 or 7 years old, but it should still fit a newer 5.7.

There's a few of us using the 1127 kit, most of us upgraded the hoses from 1/2" (-8) to 5/8" (-10) hoses and fittings. The 1/2" hoses supplied with the kits will work, but the bigger hoses provide a little more piece of mind. I'm guessing you found Kurtis's /Charonblks thread, hunt up his build thread down in members trucks,it's a long thread but worth reading through, lol. He's since upgraded to a forged 426 cubed 6.4 BGE engine on about 19lbs of boost, lol.

Anyone have pics of where you located the filter with the kit?

I'm taking the kit to a major truck repair facility - they work mostly on semi tractors, delivery trucks, box trucks, etc. They're going to do the install for me. I simply don't like crawling under my vehicles now... maybe 15 or 20 years ago, but not now! They're going to build their own hoses and connections, instead of using the ones that come in the kit. Thanks for the tips, guys. I cannot wait until I have that filter in a location that a human can reach without getting multiple bleeding gouges on the forearm! :)
